Almost all my email is sent as plain unformatted text - no word processing, no colours, graphics, macros etc. I do this for two reasons - one, it avoids any problems for recipients; two, it makes for smaller files. We should remember that a lot of the time, email passes through computers run by non-commercial organisations, or even private individuals, and we should be aware of space- and time-wasting.
