This year's theme is "Parkinson's Power Across America - Overcoming the Obstacles". The daylong event will feature Doctor Abraham Lieberman, Medical director of the National Parkinson's Foundation and Doctor Joseph Jankovic, Director Parkinson's Disease Center and Movements Disorder Clinic, Baylor College of Medicine. This year, several afternoon communications sessions have been added to address issues such as caregiver needs, surgical procedures, pharmacological solutions, Aqua therapy and physical therapy demonstrations and more. During lunch two bicyclists Donna Kos from Akron Ohio and Wallace Teal from Kerrville Texas will join us as part of their Parkinson's Power Across America trip which started February 27, in San Diego, California and will end May 7, in St. Augustine, Florida. Both riders have lost loved one's to Parkinson's Disease. The trip is being sponsored by the Parkinson's Disease Foundation and by the National Parkinson's Foundation.
