Do any of you Inkshedders know of existing forums/conference opportunities for directors and tutors of writing centres at Canadian universities? I coordinate the writing centre at Memorial University of Newfoundland. I read all CASLL entries avidly and am finding them highly educational (I've only held this position for 1 1/2 years); I've also seriously considered attending the Inkshed conference. But what I most urgently need right now is dialogue with other writing centre professionals. And while writing center conferences in the U.S. abound, I don't recall ever seeing a Canadian one advertised. Is there such a thing? And if there isn't, can anyone recommend a U.S. conference that would be particularly relevant to someone working at a Canadian writing centre? (Whew! I've done it.
