Chris, I appreciate all the info. Unfortunately I don't have any evidence to offer you on a Medieval tradition of the Coventry Hock Tuesday play. The only reference I know of outside the Coventry records and Laneham's letter is Sir Richard Morison's 1542 letter to Henry VIII. I would like to take a look at your bibliography if it's convenient to send.
