hi all i used to live on an island with no pd support groups and no other parkies that i knew which was the main reason that the pd list became so important to me since moving back to canada over a year ago i have tried to connect with local pd organisations with little success i have joined the ottawa carleton group and have received little except a plea for donations i have written to the parkinson foundation of canada in re membership and in re the stagnant condition of their website and have had no reply am i missing something? am i the only canadian parkie to receive assistance from the ontario disability support program? sometimes i feel more alone in joining the ranks of the disabled here than when i lived in island isolation am i expecting too much? has this list spoiled me? janet janet paterson - 52 now /41 dx /37 onset - almonte/ontario/canada <http://www.newcountry.nu/pd/members/janet/index.htm> [log in to unmask]
