Tricia and other veterans of DBS of the STN, I have just made an appointment with University of Kansas Medical Center for my evaluation to receiving DBS of the STN. As a veteran of the operation I wonder if you would mind answering a few of my questions: Where did you have your procedure done? How long after the operation did they turn on the stimulators? What was your first reaction ? How long to did it take before it or was fine tuned correctly? How often do you need to have it adjusted? Have you experienced any unwanted side effects?
