What a lot has been accomplished in less than a month. It took a special person to get things going. Ivan is that person. He could have avoided the first phone call but he didn't. That's Ivan! He asked the list to send emails about living with Parkinson's and they did. Archbishop Tutu listened and opened his heart to us, saying he would "do something" for Parkinson's. And he did. Barbara Patterson used her organizational skills to keep everything on the right track. Volunteers appeared out of nowhere helping to spread the word sending faxes, email, writing press releases, telephoning media contacts, doing jobs they had never tried before. All this happened in less than a month. Thank you Ivan for having the Idea that started it all. Thank you Archbishop Tutu for hearing our call for help. Thank you Barbara P for keeping us on track.
