Well, I've been off for nearly a month. That is to say, I've been off line and pd-off for nearly a month. Between life's wonderful (sometimes not) experiences and this stupid unrelenting disorder/disease, I have not been doing much of anything except suffering (and not silently I might add -- I hate pain). Now for the good news. Yes, there is Good news. I have have a half-time care giver. That is IHSS (in home support services) is now paying a young woman 20 hours per week to help care for me. She cooks, cleans house, does laundry, and does me (that is massage, exercise and skin rubs as needed). I feel as if I am now living in the lap of luxury. She is also living with me. She lives in my attic rooms and works an additional 10 hours a week to pay for her rent. So, I now have at least 30 hours per week of help as well as having my son here. WOW On the sad (but not necessarily bad) side is the shower chair I am using regularly and the walker which I only need occassionaly but have here for emergency times. What a month. However, I feel that I am getting along better than before. Karri also gets me out walking more than before as well. I just thought I would let you all know that I am still around.
