Dollars for Disease
Reporter: Wendy Mesley

The allure of celebrity suffering.

In media culture there's no more valuable currency than
celebrity. When celebrities want to do good, they can
make anything fashionable - even a disease. So when
Michael J. Fox revealed his struggle with Parkinson's
disease, it wasn't just the media that jumped on the story.
Parkinsons foundations have also been lining up, hoping
to nab Fox as their poster boy to market their cause.
