There's a web site, http://www.sixdegrees.com/, which is all about this. You create yourself an account and tell the system who you know. It emails them, and they then go onto the system and tell it who they know, etc. etc. Then when you want an introduction to someone it will tell you who to speak to. I've only recently signed up and have only a small "circle", but it seems to work well. If we wanted to see who we "knew", using this site would be a good way.
