Clare... GOOD FOR YOU! You GO, Girl! Indirectly I have Ivan to thank for my weight loss! (IVAN?) <Yup!> Ivan started pushing us to "go public" about PD by trying to get on TV programs. I was a guest on The Leeza Show a few months ago and spoke up about PD. When I saw myself on the screen a coupla weeks after the filming, I almost CROAKED from shock!!! I looked bloated .... PUFFY! AWFUL! AAAAAARGH!!! Watching myself on the TV screen was a startling experience. Along with being forced to acknowledge I'd gained enough weight to look unattractive, I saw that the right side of my face - which had been "Parkinsonized" for most of the 24 years I've had the disease was visibly SAGGING, while the left side - which has been affected for about 2 years - was still where it should be - much higher than the right side. In other words, my face was no longer asymmetrical! YUCK! This disparity is scheduled to be surgically corrected on May 22, with, since I have PD, one night in the hospital planned. NOW - if I could only LIKE exercising! <'Nother "YUCK"> (giggle) Barb Mallut [log in to unmask] -----Original Message----- From: Clare Wilson <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] <[log in to unmask]> Date: Saturday, May 01, 1999 7:00 AM Subject: Re: VISION PROBLEMS FROM SINEMET?? >Yea Barb--12 pounds lost--congratulations!
