Dear Beth: I also tried Amantadine recently for the same reasons your mother did and had the same reaction involving the swelling. I discontinued taking the drug, called my neuro and informed him of my problems with it. He said fine, but I am going to see him next week about trying something else. Hope whatever it is works.
