The choice of dishes can make a difference. A heavy pottery plate which has been heated and placed on a potholder or other pad can keep a meal hot - or at least warm - for quite a while. Plastic plates are better than thin ceramic / china plates since plastics are generally a poor heat conductor. A metal plate will cool foods fastest. Silver plates are the worst. There are also dishes [bowls] with a waterjacket which can be heated. ---------- From: Billie Cook <[log in to unmask]> To: [log in to unmask] Subject: slow eater/cold food Date: Tuesday, May 04, 1999 10:21 PM I'm a very slow eater and food gets cold before I can eat it . Repeat reheats in mike changes the food and it gets dry and tough. Does anybody have a suggestion on how the food on my plate can be kept warm? Nothing like an off-the-wall request! Billie in TX
