We will be praying and thinking of you, Charlie, during your May 18 DBS STN surgery. How exciting! My mother, father, and I went to consult with a neurosurgeon yesterday to discuss pallidotomy surgery for my mother. My father and I have done so much researching in the past few months that we feel as if we know as much as a neurologist...well, almost. When listening to the neurosurgeon we felt great in knowing that we understood everything he was telling us. My mother is so happy and relieved that something is going to be done. She wanted the surgery three years ago but her movement disorder specialist did not recommend it at that time. So, now we are tentatively scheduled for this month. (I say "we" because my parents and I have been battling this together for quite some time.) I will keep you posted. Teresa
