Hi !
Titration, according to Taber's, is the "EStimation of the concentration of a
chemical solution by adding known amounts of standard until alteration in
color or electrical state occurs." The careful titration takes time. In
medicine, getting the most effective dosage ,especially when changing from
one drug to another , requires monitoring of blood levels during gradual
changes of medication.
The occurence of "ON"and "OFF" periods is one method of monitoring..
For example, my doctor, a noted neurologist and movement disorder specialist,
in reducing my Sinemet, had me cut the dosge by one-half pill for two
weeks, then another one-half for two weeks, then wait,, and so on. Of course,
we are individually different in our aborption and utilization,. I'm just
trying to illustrate how we must rely on our doctors or specialists for
advice. And I'm not a professional.
But I do think Michel Margosis is correct when he says in "Mirapex Titraion
???"
