Art Hirsch started an information exchange explosion on this subject
and showed me up as a laggard. Good for you, Art!
I am, like Art, a member of DAPS and besides that a patient of Dr. Barnett.
My wife and CG is Programs Chairperson of DAPS and she asked him to come to
the monthly meeting to talk about PD and vision problems.

I have many of the same problems that have been reported in the current
batch of Emails, such as blurry vision in my left eye and floaters in large
numbers, also cataracts in both eyes.
About a year and a half ago I was watching the news on TV and could see only
one of the two newsreaders. My ophthalmologist could find nothing especially
abnormal and referred me to Dr. Barnett. His tentative conclusion was that I
had a blockage in an artery. As everything seemed normal he instructed me to
watch for a re-occurrence and make a note of any particulars.
Two months later the same thing happened. He stuck by the theory and
prescribed Ecotrin as a "blood thinner".
I have not had any partial vision occurrences since.
I have been on Sinemet since diagnosis eight years ago. No connection of the
vision problem and Sinemet was made.

I am very interested in his talk and in his reaction to the many questions
that Art may collect for him from all your posts.
