I may be the only guy in recent listory to send a non instruction to the command address. One reason nothing is fool proof is because fools are so clever. Second try same subject: Much has been made of the propriety and risks of "sham surgery." Now I feel the need to add my opinion. Since the procedure does not violate the integrity of the brain itself, it is really not that big of a deal. I am pleased that no one has proposed inserting useless probes into the brain substance. I have been there and done that. I would far rather have someone drill holes in my skull than do that. Sending probes into the brain substance is where the risk comes in. Things can go wrong in there. The number and seriousness of complications from merely dividing the scalp and placing holes in the skull is (in a modern OR) minimal. Regards, WHH 55/38/37
