Just to post, once again, the fact that a certain small proportion of
people (mainly of Mediterranean ancestry) are lacking a gene which
prevents proper breakdown of one of the substances contained in fava
beans.  If those people eat fava beans, a condition ("favism")
develops, producing a serious (and possibly fatal) hemolytic anemia.

This condition is rare but something to consider.  Medical Dopamine
is better and safer.
