Dear List-family... Just a quick note to let ya know I'll be offline beginning 5/22 (Saturday) thru 5/24 (Monday) as I'm having some plastic surgery due to a Parkinson's "1/2-face droop." Errrrrrr... in other words, and as briefly as I can put it, the RIGHT side of my face (gorgeous tho it may be to everyone else...) <grin> is going to be re-aligned with the LEFT side of my face (right side's been leading a life of it's own the past 2 years!) <groan> by a plastic surgeon known for his talent in reconstructive surgery. I'll be home some time Sunday so ya can see, this isn't like open heart surgery or even a pallidotomy! <THANK GOODNESS. I DO understand from the MD that I'll wanna wear a brown bag over my face if I go out in public tho!!! (Or sunglasses at the very least) <MAJOR GROAN> (giggling at mental image). "See" ya all back here on Monday.... (unless I'm feeling real well on Sunday)... Ohhhhh.... and June 21, it's back to Dr. Gerald Burke at UCLA for collagen injections into my vocal cords 'cause I cannot STAAAAAND it hearing everyone saying "What? WHAAAT????? I CAN'T HEEEAAAR YOU" when I speak!!! (in other words, the Kaiser MD who claimed to know how to perform this procedure really DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO DO IT CORRECTLY!!!) <POOH on him!> Love to ya all...
