Gail Vass has been our "burr under the saddle" re: the problems of the Y2K
computer glitches.....I hope she and others saw the segment on "60 Minutes"
last night about the lack of preparedness especially on the part of local
governments.

I suggest that others may want to check with their own city/county/whatever
governments and ask them some hard questions re: compliance and testing and
readiness for the new millenium. I wrote and sent material from a website
to our city manager, especially asking re: municipal water system. His
answer was encouraging---I hope!

The great fear of PWPs and others who depend on meds is that they won't be
available, and we must strike a reasonable balance between panicky
hoarding, which creats greater problems, and running out if supplies are
delayed. I'm curious how many others are gradually setting aside a supply
of meds, as we are? This may be a case where "not to decide is to
decide"----right Gail???
