Debbie, What a hard time you have had, and your parents as well. When hospitalization is required, we are entitled to peace of mind that "no harm will be done." So sorry about your experience. I'm a retired oncology nurse and feel the responsibility for my sisters still in the profession. It would be best to have your surgeon or primary physician write orders for your mother to take her own meds. She could have them at her bedside and take them on her own schedule. Clare Wilson
