Debbie, there are special beds with a type of air mattress that is powered with a compressor, it is electroncally controlled and varies the pressure constantly on the body, to prevent and hopefully allow bed sores to heal. The bed does make noise, and requires the room temperature to be kept low. I don't know what they cost, or who sells them, but I am sure someone on the list will know. Ken B
