The following ad will appear in the next issue of _University
Affairs_ and the _CAUT Bulletin_.  Please feel free to contact
me directly if you have questions or require any background
information.
The successful candidate will teach such courses as
Engl. 310, History of Rhetoric; Engl. 311, Composition
Theory; and perhaps Engl. 476, Scholary Editing & Publishing.
We are looking for someone who will help us develop
our new Rhetoric & Professional Writing major in English--&
although it is advertised as a 4 1/2 year term position,
we would see the successful candidate working toward an
ongoing appointment.

FACULTY MEMBER
ENGLISH AND MODERN LANGUAGES

The Department of English and Modern Languages has a replacement term
position available.  The successful candidate must be able to teach
rhetorical history and composition theory at the 300/400 level; some
experience in teaching electronic publishing preferred.  Further background
in teaching either introductory literature or technical writing is also an
asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ph.D.
- Teaching experience preferred


 TERM OF APPOINTMENT:   01 January 2000 to 30 April 2004
