Subject: Call for Papers, revisited

Hello, all,

As some of you may know, I'm going to be organizing an MRDS session for
Kalamazoo in 2000; this message is by way of an initial announcement.

The session, "Days of Saints and Virgins," proposed by Max Harris, is to
be dedicated to performative activities (including but not necessarily
limited to plays) that occured on saints' days in medieval and early
modern Europe (or North America, if you know of such events). Papers on
plays, processions, or other performative or "ludic" activities are
welcomed for consideration.

At this point, formal abstracts would be nice but are certainly not
necessary. If you are interested in preparing a paper for this session,
please contact me.

Thanks,

Chet Scoville
