To Janet & Others re: Major Depression vs. Parkinson's- You're absolutely right. I'm a psychiatric nurse with lots of professional experience with clinical depression and, now, personal experience with both depression and PD. Its an insidious thing...looking back at what came first is like deciding what came first, the chicken or the egg. Incidentally, when I returned to the List a couple of days ago I asked for treatment recommendations re: the best place here on the East Coast for a second opinion (movement disorder/PD specialists/ tx. centers]and never received an opinion.I live in Connecticut.
