The following note is intended for Gayle, who inquired last week about support grgroups in the : Long Beach area.. I lost the original posting, with your e-mail address, which partly explains why this response is so belated, for which I apologize. Gayle,. I don't know of any support groups in Long Beach. per se, but there is an LA-metro group that meets in Beverly Hills. It's primarily but not exclusively a young onset group. It meets once a month, on Sat---at which time the drive from Long Beach should not be bad. If interested, contact Millard Tipp, 323-851-3230, or send me a note, and I'll be glad to keep you informed. If you're willing to travel a little further, there are 2 more groups in the San Fernando Valley which also meet on Sat Finally, most of the area hospitals have support groups that meet on weekdays and generally are composed of older PWP's Again, feel free to contact me if you want some help in sorting this out or if I can help you in any other way.
