Mia Culpa for the attachment mix up--it's very late; let me try once more.

Hello all,

Have we done this lately, e.g., had a sitdown with Dr. Varmus of NIH and Senator Spector, et al. to
streamline, target, fund, and, in other words, speed up a Cure for PD? If the PD community has,
please let me know--it's a real question. Please read what's on the calendar below. I recently
started lurking at Congress, and found this at:

The APDA has an impressive page on Congress with very good links.

Is it time we mobilized to streamline the NIH/FDA process? I ask this with fear of starting a
dust-up of messages all based on the past. I suggest that we think in the present for positive,
concrete, and straight-forward suggestions. For example, What If, this time, all of us (1-2
million, whatever) really did sign the PAN petition and sent it by 6/24; and What If we all sent
e-mail or snail mail to all our reps? What If, we had a Million and OneHalf or More PWP March or
Old-Fashioned-Wagon-(Bus?) Circling on Washington. The last one is stated only partly in humor.
But first, let's sign the petition; then send mail; and then we'll have some fun and all go to
Washington.

If you think I'm just dreaming, tell me please why others have streamlined this process with fewer
people, and with no more talented or famous folks than we have. Let's focus our energy on being
heard by Congress, and not just each other. What If that hearing tomorrow was going to be with Janet
Reno, Edmond Safra, Morton Kondracke, Billy Graham, Michael J. Fox, Muhammad Ali, Joan Samuelson, to
name but a few?

What If?

Also found this very confounding list, which I confess, I have not sorted through.
