P.S. to the constipation protol,etc.

Peter had this as a major problem for years.  He used the suggestions of
the protocol and other things--but most helpful to HIM for many months now
has been to use Lactulose syrup (Chronulac is trade name) which if taken
3Tblsp. on arising has been consistently helpful.  It is basically a stool
softener, and does cause uncomfortable gas, but that's the tradeoff.  He
had thought it not very dependable at 2Tblsp. but increasing it to 3T
(doctor's RX) has made a big difference.  Just something else to ask about.
It is now very rare that he has to resort to enemas or Senokot tablets.
The prune/bran/etc. concoctions were noit reliably helpful for him, but
others swear by them--experiment till you find the best for her. Good
