Hi Suzanne....

M'dear... for MOST of us with Parkinson's, Sinemet does it's
"thing" for several years with few, if any, side effects. Not
only that, it generally WORKS, so with the commencement of the
drug, you'll reach a comfort level you most likely haven't felt
for some time.

If you begin taking the Sinemet over the weekend, IF you
experience any side effects (I had a 4 day period of mild nausea
immediately after beginning the 25/100 tablets) they prolly won't
interfere with your job.

By the way, after taking the 25/100's for 3 months with absolutely
NO change in the PD symptoms, I asked my then neuro for a stronger
pill. He hemmed and hawed a bit and let me know HE thought that
if I WANTED the 25/100's to work, they WOULD (Well, POOH on HIM!
I gotta 'nother neuro! SO THERE, Doc!)

I got the prescription filled for the higher dose of Sinemet,
said a little prayer. and popped a HALF of a tablet (starting out
cautiously), taking another half tablet about 4 hours later in the
late afternoon.

Expecting the higher dose would work immediatly, I was surprised
to find no change in my conditon (actually, 'surprised" is not the
right word!) <grin>. I continued taking the half 25/250, and
WHOA - within a few days there WAS a change - a VERY positive
change.

Sooo... I suggest ya bite the bullet and start the Sinemet. I
suspect you'll find yourself happy that you did.

An remember, we're all here rooting for ya. YOU GO GIRL!
