I knew nothing about this disease either, and believed exactly what you did. A MDS will indeed fine tune your husband's problems, but not in one fell swoop (what does that really mean?). This disease affects each of us differently, as well as the meds. Don't be afraid to ask--there are many on the list who have 'been there' and very anxious to share their experiences with those of us who are 'newbies.' Good luck. Clare Wilson
