I had my own nasty surprise from the SSA this
morning. Guy tells me that there is a 6 month waiting period for benefits
from when i applied. I knew this, but i thought you got a check 4
those 6 months once you had been approved. Not so, he
says.
Is anyone out there in Pig land [sorry about that folks] aware
of anything to the contrary?
Hilary, i think you should take the offer that was made by the
List member who is a laywer to accompany you on a visit to the SSA office.
Even tho he does not specialize in SS matters, i think having a member of the VA
bar with you would add something significant to the meeting. And boy,
your description of how long it took you to write your post really hit home with
me!!
