Having been diagnosed in December of 97, I reseached, joined this list, participated in physical therapy, adjusted medications and stayed in touch with my physician. Somehow I convinced myself that ths would progress over a long period of time. (I believe I remember someone on the list who has had it over 20 years). I have almst lost the use of my right hand completely, I feel short of breath often, suffer orthostitic hypotension (medication really helps), and now I speaking is terrible. I can't enuncaite. My tongue and lips just won't cooperate. Meds are 1/4 Sinemet x3, 1/2 miripex x3, Proamatine x3 plus some evista, citruscil. I guess Im really scared of how fast its going. At 53 I'm just not ready to die.
