It's been the month of Hell. First Claude's (62yrs old, diagn. 23 years ago) hallucinations became paranoid delusional to the point where he would call police, roam outside at night, accuse me of all sorts of misbehavior. First drug, Zyprexa didn't work so after two weeks of no sleep for either of us, he was put on Clorazil (bloodwork every week before pharm would issue prescription.) Worked, but makes him very sleepy. We figured that Mirapex was the culprit, so off that and onto Tasmar, the consent form comt Inhibitor. He was on that last year and had to quit it because of diarrhea. Thought we would try again because all other drugs either don't work or have bad side affects for him such as Artane, Parladel, Requip, Permax. Anyway, diarrhea is back and nothing will control it. We've tried Imodium, tagamet,Lonox, one other that I can't remember the name of at the moment. Entapone still hasn't been approved so as he is being weaned off Tasmar, we were wondering if anyone out there might think of another agonist or whatever he might try.Sinemet alone isn't enough with his late stage PD. Tasmar gave him at least 5 good hours a day. Anyone have any ideas? Marilyn ([log in to unmask])
