hi linda

i know the mail can be overwhelming at times
if you are not used to it or if it doesn't seem 'relevant' at the time

you might consider the digest option
where you get the mail in 'lumps' 2 or 3 through the day
rather than individual messages

i know that aol's e-mail software doesn't have a filter option
but you could consider setting up another screen name on your account
and subscribe to 'parkinsn' and/or to 'care' using that screen name
so then your regular mail and your list mail would be in separate places

>I will however tune into the message board everyday..I

which 'message board' do you mean?

there is a website which has the 50 most recent messages to the parkinsn list
you can find the link to it at my website in the pienet/pdlinks section

the 'care' list has much less volume than parkinsn
you could consider joining it instead
there is information about it at my website in the pienet/people section

>Though I am not a caregiver and just a friend of a PWP
>(see I did learn something) I am interested in anything that
>will help. Perhaps in the future I can rejoin the list when

>My best wishes and prayers to all..

just the fact that you know we are here
is a potential help to your friend

you can always come back here and lurk
you can always dig in the list archives on the wwweb at your leisure

all the best

ps
i am copying this reply to the list
for the benefit of other aolians who may have other suggestions for you
