Sharon,
There is a toy you can buy for children.Various firms make different versions,
but it is usually presented as being a loudspeaker for singing pop songs or
such.The one I have is called a "sing-along radio" for ages 3 and up. It cost
$8.88 at CVS. Of course, it is brightly coloured and kinda conspicuous and I'm
too embarrassed to use it, but it works. And my inalbility to speak loud
enough for people to hear me is beginning to be more  embarrassing than using
this mike would be. In fact I was thinking of taking it to our Ladies luncheon
group on Monday, which is why I had it handy.
And at that price, how wrong can you go.
