There are 39 Parkinson Support Groups in B.C.
The B.C. Parkinson's Association is the umbrella that ties all the
support groups together. The Support Group Co-ordinator is Jacquie
Sankhoff and she (& the B.C. P.D. A.) can be contacted by telephone
at (604) 662-3240.
The Early Onset Support Group has members on the north shore as well
as most other areas of the city. Early Onset meets at Willingdon
Church in Burnaby (usually 2nd. Saturday of every month) and I am a
member.
Movement Disorder Specialists?? We are particularly blessed in
that regard. Dr. Donald Calne's group at UBC is world renowned. Dr.
Calne just hosted the 13th. International Congress on Parkinson's
Disease July 24th. - 28th. right here in Vancouver. Dr. Jon Stoessel
& Dr. Joseph Tsui are highly qualified neuros at UBC.

I hope this answers your queries................murray
