Dear Jackie: Firstly , I admit I am no dietician, nor nutritionist, etc. but I'll just you my opinions for what they are worth. 1) Sinemet/Protein Connection - I do not think it matters whether you ingest protein from animal or vegetable source. They all eventually hydrolyse (break down) into simple amino acids. The amino acids are the culprit vying for the same neurons cells that dopamine are trying to reach. 2) Vitamins - Although I also take some vitamins, I should get all those necessary for good health from a good normal diet. The extra ones will be flushed out through the kidney if they are water soluble like Vit. C or B1 or B2. I would not think it matters if, again they are 'natural', meaning they have to be highly purified if they are to be what the label purport them to be, or synthetic, meaning they can be controlled better. Since they are NOT officially drugs, they are in a different control classification, and what you buy might better be controlled by your pocket book. 3) Motor Movement Specialist - I assume you meant a Movement Disorder Specialist who is a neurologist who specializes in neurological diseases that affect postural balance like Parkinson's. You should be able to access one through any of the Parkinson's Disease support group either from the Net or the telephone directory or your State's health agencies. Many neuros just don't know much about this disease, and they may overdose as happened with my wife. Gopod luck, Jackie Michel Margosis
