At our local support group today I "sold" Ivan's tape to the group, and we
agreed to buy a copy for local use. We will show it to our own group, as
well as using it in local Nursing Homes and hospital for staff education,
and to recruit university student groups to do the "Pennies for PD" project
here. '
Thanks all the "reviewers" who gave a sense of what it is like, so I could
tell the group.
Also, one of our members (not online) , Norma Paddock, had taken some
"Pennies" labels home 2 months ago. Today she brought in $68.00 collected
in a local grocery and beauty shop! She will mail the check to the PD
Alliance. I have yet to check the can I put in "my" beauty shop 2 weeks
ago, but hope to do as well! When I took it in, the customer getting a
trim said her father had PD---maybe she made a contribution!
Soon classes will resume here at Miami University (Ohio) and two student
orgs. have shown an interest in the Pennies project. Hope we can get
something going.
