I would like to respond to the many comments raised regarding the various
hobbies of PWP.

As a member of the Arizona Chapter of the National Parkinson Foundation we
have been active in the full dimension of People with Parkinson's. That
means to us that we encourage the conception of People With
.........regardless of the "With". For too long folks with a myriad of
challenges have felt the need to remove themselves from their social
humanity. The result has been folks defining themselves by their condition,
i.e., "Pain Patients", "Cancer Patients", etc.

Last year our Annual Meeting theme was " The Mind, The Body, and The Face
of Parkinson's. This year it will be the concept of "Wellness", which will
include the Physical, Emotional, Nutritional, Spiritual, and Social aspects
of Wellness. The active participation in hobbies of many kinds not only is
personally beneficial but adds to the communities understanding and human
interaction necessary for our total wellness.

Every once in a while, I catch a glimpse of the many interests and hobbies
members of this list have, and wouldn't it be fun to share that with others
? I propose that folks drop a note telling the rest of us what their
hobbies or interest might be. We might find that there are many other
aspects to our personages that can only add to our collective sense.

I share with my wife, Donna, fishing, photography, gardening, Southwest &
Northwest Indian Art, and music, apart from our interest in our family.
