the advice that jumped out at me
from all directions on this listserv
when i was in the throes of applying for a disability pension
was
go to them in
your unmedicated state
regardless of what it takes to get you there
a walker or a wheelchair or an air-ambulance

it's what they need to see
it's what they have to see
in order to make their determination

it is reality
it reveals the 'progress' of the cell loss
of this neurodegenerative disorder of ours
this is not the time to 'make nice' or 'look good'
