Dear Hilly: I don't know how to stengthen your case, but I do remember that about ten years ago, I tried to get reduced laboratory responsibility after a carpal tunnel operation. I was handling dangerous, carcinogenic and toxic chemicals and I was afraid I would not be able to handle the job safely. The government doctor rejected my request without even meeting with me. When I challenged the doctor's credentials, I was told that he was a retired doctor who was under contract with the government from time to time, but he had a good 'record' in protecting the government from 'preying vultures' [my words]. But, one can't tell; I read on this list that decisions can be made for the poor defenseless slobs like us; Barbara's came too late! Fondly, and Hilly, keep your chin up, you'll be more audible.
