hi all

a list-member has asked me:
>When you get time, would you tell me how you can move
>an article from the NY times to the list, so completely.
>Thank you

i thought it might be helpful if i posted my answer to the list
so i went back to the original news story as found
at the new york times website

my wwweb browser is netscape 3.01
my e-mail software is eudora lite 3.0

1. i started up netscape and browsed my way to the article i wanted

2. i e-mailed the file [using netscape mail] to myself as plain text [not html]

3. i shut down netscape and fired up eudora and checked for incoming mail

4. lo and behold i had received a message from myself

5. which i copied and pasted into a new outgoing message

6. which i neatened a tad

7. and which i then mailed to the PIEnet group
and bcc: copied to me and to my questioner

that's the way i do it
others with other software and hardware and ideas
probably [likely] would do it differently

i am open to suggestions
