Dear Joe When I was diagnosed about a decade ago, one of the first things that my neurologist warned me of were peripheral neuropathies. He indicated that slower movement, fewer adjustments while sitting, and less padding yields a greater likelihood of pressure injury. He specifically mentioned crossing my legs at the knee and ankles, saying these and sitting at a desk, leaning on elbows. He suggested padding to protect the nerves at the elbows, and ankle if I couldn't stop crossing my ankles. At the time, I thought he was being a haranguing old mother. His underlying message was to protect what was left. I am a long-term admirer of the way you bring hard science to our board. Let me thank you for your efforts on our behalves, a steady voice of reason in a periodically cacophonous forum. I hope you continue to enjoy bringing us awareness of research efforts. Best regards, Don Penny
