Greetings and salutations
I feel like i should be saying - we who are about to die salute you ! Today,
in just a few hours, I go before the SSA doctor, whose examination of me will
ultimately determine my fate.
Acting on the advice of those wo have gone before me, I stopped taking
medication last night. So far, apart from general tachykinesia, the biggest
casualty is my sight - -I cannot focus enough to read what i am sriting - so
i''m not going to be able to check for typos.
Yesterdfat evening I went to a small (20 t0 30 people) party to kickoff the
campaigns of State Senator Jane Woods, and her running mates in the upcoming
Virginia State Elections. It was gratifying that she recognized me - okay, i
had a name tag, but she knew i was the lady with Parkinson's - and was very
surprised that I had no help from Congressman DAvies' office - because she had
discussed my case with him   - and asked me to let her know this afternoon
about today's events"
So I go off to face my fate. Wish me luck, and pray for me'
Hilary
