Greetings...I have not been reading mail since MONDAY a.m. and had not
planned to return to the list until Friday night. But I think I need some
advice!

IN the spring my mother was taken off one drug (bradic...can't remember the
name, sorry) and put on Requip in staged doses. She has had her dosage
increased over the summer...One more visit to her neurologist should bring
the dosage up to what it should be for her. It has been hard for her body
to adjust physically, but a few weeks ago her eyes were looking brighter,
she had better balance when walking, and claimed one or two 'normal days'.
Since Sunday, she has taken a huge turn for the worse...She is depressed
(asked me to check into living wills), walking is very difficult for her
without some kind of assistance and of course her confidence is gone. She
claims hallucinations (but also has cateracts which may be contributing) and
sleeplessness. Even her hair has greyed a little more (she's 78, was
diagnosed in 91). There is more to tell but I am wondering how to help her
with the timing of her medications to get their optimal effect (I have
surfed to Brian Collins' website...a wonderful resource!...but I don't know
if she will understand the charting method of timing drug intake bacause I
don't yet. I will try to get her back to the neurologist today if he will
see her, but in the meantime, any suggestions? Alos, any feedback on
getting used to REQUIIP initially from anyone?

I would also be interested in knowing more about CARE (how to subscribe,
etc.).

Thanks immensely!
