I am a psychologist, and not to be repetitious, I refer you all to Joe
Bruman's definition of lability, as it is used in psychological/psychiatric
contexts:

"From Taber's Medical Dictionary:
"Labile": Not fixed, unsteady; easily disarranged; rapidly shifting
and changing emotions.
"Emotional lability": Excessive emotional reactivity associated with
frequent changes or swings in emotions and mood."
