So, we now have high taxes on tobacco (always have, but it's worse now), alcohol, etc. Now we are trying to ban smoking (like we tried to ban drinking alcohol in the Prohibition days) because it allegedly "harms" others. Although I am a nonsmoker (quit years ago), and don't drink very much alcohol (an occasional beer or glass of wine), I oppose all of this "behavior modification". It does nothing but make the "sinful" substances more expensive; and if you try to ban these substances, it makes criminals out of good people.
