As noted in a message last week from Judith Richards, there will be a
joint meeting in Ottawa of the Parkinson Foundation of Canada and the
Parkinson's Society of Ottawa-Carleton. I am a member of the Board of
Directors of the latter group
At the recent meeting of the Ottawa Society the agenda for a workshop on
Saturday, October 23rd was discussed which will start at 2:00 p.m. with
two speakers- a Lynda McKenzie who will discuss her successful fetal
cell transplant: and a researcher from Dalhousie University who will
review work in Physiotherapy with Parkinson patients in Halifax.
Additional information can be obtained from the Society's Office by tel.
(613) 722-9238; FAX (613) 722-3241: E-mail < [log in to unmask] >.

As many of you are aware, there are a lot of outstanding tourist sites
to visit in our nation's capital such as tours of Parliament Hill,
numerous museums and art galleries etc. Other goodies include a new
Casino and the home for the best Canadian hockey team - namely the
Ottawa Senators. You can obtain more information on theseevents by
clicking on two web sites-< www.ottawa.kiosk > and < www.capcan.ca >.
By lucky coincidence, the Senators are hosting the Buffalo Sabres on
evening of the 23rd. Tickets can be procured by phoning the toll-free
number of !-800-444-7367.

Hope to see Judith next month, and others who I have only had the
privilege to meet over the web. Perhaps the active Janet Paterson who
lives on the outskirts of Ottawa might also show up??
