I experience that too. I even hear it, its like an electrical current sparking. I also have "after-shocks" usually in one or both legs. There is no pain, they are not uncomfortable, and I find I am relaxed and go right to sleep after the episode. Other interesting observations, never seem to have them during the day and they only occur if I am lying o my back.
