I have been doing the same for two days. Here is a site where you can fine out how
to reach your senators and legislators. I have found that I have to write the faxes
for people and I emphasize money every time. $100,000,000.00 a year doesn't sound
like much when compared to the 25 billion annual cost of this lousy disease. If you
are an M.D. or Ph.D. put that in. I even put in my BSN and MPH (masters in public
health ). If you don't have any degrees that are easily noted. Use you name and
address. Those people can count money and votes. Hurry though, PAN says that the
Senate will meet this week. Next come the legislators. Lot of work ,but you younger
people out there will benifit from the research, even my children and grandchildren
could , since my husband and his late brother had this loathsome disease. Keep on
faxing or sending E mails. Time is running out in the senate. NitaTheir phone
numbers are there ( on that site ). Just get it done.
